An advocate of Pudukottai town  in Tamil Nadu was hacked to death in a busy area allegedly by an unidentified gang when he was on his way to court, police said.

Kannan was way-laid and hacked by the gang members who escaped from the scene.

Police have alerted the checkposts and are confident of nabbing the gang members.
