All Four Central Delhi Metro Stations Reopened

All the four metro stations in north block which were closed upon the directions of Delhi Police in view of a dharna here by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have been now reopened.

"All four metro stations reopened at 8.08 P.M," a DMRC official said.

The four stations — Central Secretariat, Patel Chowk, Udyog Bhawan and Race Course — were completely shut since 6 A.M. Today in keeping with police's instructions.

The secretary to the Delhi Transport Minister, Saurabh Bhardwaj, had written to DMRC Managing Director Mangu Singh this afternoon seeking reopening of the said stations.

"Law and order is the subject of the police and DMRC had forwarded the letter to Delhi Police after it arrived from the (transport) minister's office," the DMRC official said.

Kejriwal's dharna came to an end tonight after two police officers were sent on leave in a compromise with the Centre.

Kejriwal had demanded suspension of five law and order officials for alleged dereliction of duty.

Earlier, in a statement today, Delhi government said that it, "Strongly disapproves of the decision to shut down four Metro stations in central Delhi, which has caused inconvenience to a lot of commuters. Delhi government holds 50 per cent stake in Delhi Metro and questions the decision to shut down (the stations) without consulting it.

"The decision is illogical and appears to have been taken on purely political considerations."

>>One feels sorry for the succus. Their latest great hope to stop Modi has become damaged goods. The contrast between Modi and Kejriwal cannot be more stark.

Seculars prop up anyone who they believe will stop Modi even though that person may be a hypocrite, a dumbo or lack any virtues. First and for long it was Rahul Gandhi who had to be discarded eventually because he had 'moron' written all over his face despite media's regular paint jobs. Next is was Nitish Kumar who the media has forgotten totally as he serves no purpose for attacking Modi from the outside. The latest kid on the block, the great brown hope was Kejri who started behaving worse than the people the media despises most. Unfortunately for the seculars, every time they prop up a character, Modi comes out looking better. The recent IBN polls show Modi gaining vote share in places like WB and TN! However, whether it will convert into votes is another question.

The election, once again comes back to the central question-can BJP convert the support into seats given its weakness in many parts of India? The election will depend on that alone.

Kejriwal, Nitish Kumar etc are all insignificant.

Amidst the madjor drama, the major fraud that the super duper honest AAP is committing in the name of member registration has gone largely unnoticed.

A lot of people are getting registered and assigned membership numbers when they have no interest in doing so. AAP lifts the email addresses from some place and makes them members. And then they claim they have registered 1 crore people. This is plain fraud.
