No Place in Country Should Be Considered Unsafe: BJP

The Gujarat unit of BJP today said no place in the country should be considered "unsafe" and it was not worried about Narendra Modi's proposed rally on December 29 at Dhurwa, which is in the NIA's probe list for the October 27 Patna serial blasts.

"No place in the country should be considered unsafe," General Secretary of Gujarat's BJP unit, Bharatbhai Pandaya, told reporters here.

He said there were no issues with the Jharkhand unit of BJP choosing to hold the proposed rally at a place near where Patna blasts suspects allegedly reside.

Pandaya was here as part of a delegation from Gujarat, headed by its Assembly Deputy Speaker Mangubhai Patel, to garner support for Modi's Statue of Unity Project.

BJP's Jharkhand unit president Ravindra Rai, who was also present, said there was no cause for worry about the venue, which was chosen after the Ranchi district authorities had rejected the party's request to use Mohrabadi ground for the rally.

The Ranchi administration recently communicated to BJP that Morhabadi ground was already booked for other programmes after the party sought its permission.

I believe what he meant was predictably unsafe. That is no place in the country should be unsafe predictably.
