1993 Blasts: 2 of the 6 Women Accused Convicted by SC
Two of the six women convicts in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case today failed to get any relief from the Supreme Court.

While the life sentence of Rubina Memon, sister-in-law of Yakub Memon who was sent to gallows, was upheld by the apex court, another woman convict Zaibunnisa Anwar Kazi's five year imprisonment was also confirmed.

However, a bench of justices P Sathasivam and B S Chauhan acquitted Mubina alias Baya Mossa Bhiwandiwala, who was convicted and sentenced to five years by the TADA court.

The two other women accused, Raheen Memon, wife of Yakub Memon, and Hanifa Memon, mother of proclaimed offender Tiger Memon, were earlier acquitted by the TADA court of all the charges.
