Man Arrested by Kerala Police Says He's Not Bitti Mohanty

According to reports, Bitti Mohanty, the man detained by Kerala police for the rape of a German woman in 2006 has reversed his earlier confession. He now claims that he is not the person wanted by the police.

Bitti had been working as a Probationary Officer in a public sector bank here for the last three years impersonating as "Raghav Raja" from Andhra Pradesh.

He was arrested by Kerala police last week and remanded to judicial custody. He was picked up from his local residence and revealed his true identity during questioning.

Bitti Mohanty is the son of former Odisha DGP B B Mohanty. Bitti Mohanty had allegedly raped a German tourist in Rajasthan's Alwar district on March 21, 2006, and was convicted by a fast-track court on April 12, 2006. He jumped bail while serving a seven-year sentence.

Let the police do a DNA test to find out the fact. That will settle all doubts. If even a magistrate court rules so, DGP Mohanty cannot refuse. Raghav rajan is not a normal name in orissa or andhra. Now the rat is in the trap

The game has started to protect the privileged son of an IPS officer. The report broke out on a day when 2-3 IPS officers were assigned governorships in different states. There is a high profile IPS damad close to the top hierarchy, who is said to guide many thing in favour of IPS. Has B. B. Mohanty, Bitti's father come under the wings of the same man?

Yesterday I had lucking suspicion that a campaign contrary might be launched sooner or later.

God's own country has started the campaign so soon.
