J&K: BJP Attacks Cong Over Its Silence on Afzal's Hanging
BJP today targetted the Congress for its alleged "silence" over the execution of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, saying it has sent out a "very dangerous" message.

"Congress party's silence over the execution of Afzal Guru has sent out a very dangerous message," BJP chief spokesperson and National Executive Member Jitendra Singh told reporters here.

"Congress is involved in a conspiracy with National Conference (NC) to remain silent on the Afzal Guru issue with the sole agenda of continuing in power," Singh said.

"In the midst of Budget Session of J&K State Legislative Assembly, when the two Kashmir-centric political parties NC and People's Democratic Party (PDP) are engaged in a fierce war of competitive upmanship over Afzal Guru, why is the Congress party silent even though it is a ruling coalition partner in the government?" he asked.

J&K: BJP Attacks Cong Over Its Silence on Afzal's Hanging

The BJP should learn that it is not necessary for the Congress (or themselves) to shout at every barking dog. If the NC and PDP wish to keep talking about Guru, let them. By responding, they get more importance than they desrve. The man has been hanged and that's it.
