Punjab: NRI, Driver Held With Heroin Worth Rs 2.70 Crore
Two persons, including an NRI, have been arrested here with 540 gram narcotics worth Rs 2.70 crore in the street market, police said today.

Rs 13.86 lakh Indian and foreign currency was also recovered from their possession last night, said Hardial Singh Mann, SSP Fatehgarh Sahib.

A police team, during checking near Mandofal village in this district, arrested NRI Anup Singh Kahlon and his driver Kulwinder Singh after heroin and the currency were found in their car, he said.

The SSP said the police also recovered 4 cartridges of .32 bore pistol from the pocket of Kulwinder.

During his recent stay in India Kahlon was living in Zirakpur of Punjab.
