A claymore mine and other materials were recovered by security forces from a Maoist hideout in Odisha's Koraput district, police said today.
The materials were spotted during an operation by Special Operations Group (SOG) troops inside Naranga forest under Narayanpatna police limits yesterday, they said.
"It was a claymore mine and detonators were fitted to it. But our men retrieved it safely," said Koraput Superintendent of Police Awinash Kumar.
Securitymen also recovered a pair of Maoist uniform, a kit bag, few packets of biscuits, bathing soaps and Maoist literature.
Combing operation and patrolling had been intensified in the area after the seizure.
