Fali Nariman Praises Katju for His Article on Modi
Press Council of India (PCI) chairperson Markandey Katju, under attack from BJP leader Arun Jaitley, has been praised by noted jurist Fali S Nariman for his newspaper article which was critical of Narendra Modi.

Nariman, in an email sent on Friday to Justice Katju, which was released to the media by the PCI chief, said the article was "outstanding".

"I already telephoned and told you how pleased we were with the article in this morning's HINDU, but I must place it on record. It is an outstanding (article), it needed to be said by a person who doesn't merely pretend to support human rights but lives it every moment of his life," Nariman said.

Jaitley and Katju were on Sunday locked in a bitter war of words over the latter's article with the two asking each other to resign.

Jaitley dubbed Katju as "more Congress than the Congress" and said his attacks on non-Congress governments whether in West Bengal, Bihar or Gujarat seem more in the nature of "thanks-giving" to those who provided him with a post- retirement job." He demanded that Katju resign from his post.

The PCI chief, a former Supreme Court judge, hit back at Jaitley accusing him of twisting facts and asked him to quit politics.

Modi also waded into the row accusing Katju of looking at Gujarat with a "jaundiced eye" and said Jaitley's counter to the former Supreme Court judge was "insightful" in demolishing "lies" spread about Gujarat. Modi's response came on Twitter.

Rubbishing charges of being partisan, Katju said he had written "very strong" letters to Congress-ruled Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan over the arrest of two girls for a Facebook post after the death of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray.

One more prominant judge has blatantly refused to live in an evidence based world.  Even with a jaundiced eye, you just see little yellow but still see what is really there but these prominant judges are seeing what is not there (evidence) all togather.

<   > " Modi accuses Katju of looking at Gujarat with JAUNDICED EYE."

If Ex Justice DKJain ( of Supreme Court )  had a ' HEART OF JUDICIAL  CONSCIENE' while selecting and appointing Dr R K Raghavan as the SIT chief and monitoring his probe into the Gujarat genocide massacre cases of 2002,  there would have been no occasion for Justice Katju (colleague of Justice Jain in the Suprem Court)  to contract 'JAUNDICE ' and look at Gujarat with 'jaundiced eye'.    So, who is the real culprit to be blamed?

In the interest of disclosure and fair play, it is time "noted" luminaries declare their party affiliation and then connections to the 'family' and any patronage they have received from Congress govts, Nehru/Indira/Rajiv named foundations generously funded by taxpayers, public sectors and other govt agencies.

This "noted jurist''s son Rohinton Nariman was Sonia Congress govt's Solicitor General handling 2G case till a week or so back.

Has Katju 'written any letter' to Congress' Assam govt after lakhs of Bodo tribals were made refugees some time back, while tens have been killed and thousands again made homeless after police firing just a few weeks back? Did he write to Shiela Dikshit after any rape case which has earned Delhi the 'rape capital' tag?

What about Nagaland where the Nagas declare economic blockage and severe shortage of medicine and fuel against Maipuris at the drop of a hat?

We have all Congress appointed retired "luminaries" coming out of the woodwork on Congress paid channels of CNN_IBN and NDTV to peddle their wares aided by Congresswallahs turned journalists like Karan Thapar and Barkha Dutt.
