An abandoned leopard cub is being look after by forest officials here after it was rescued from a sugarcane field in the district.
The cub was found abandoned in the field near Chas village in the district on December 24.
"The leopard moved her two other cubs to safety but could not shift this one", said a forest official.
The cub is taken under wings by forest guard Mansukhlal, his superior Sunil Wadekar and veterinary doctor Sanjay

"Once it is fully grown, we will free the cub in nearby forest in tandem with the procedure", the officer said.
