Allahabad Stampede: Azam Khan Quits As Kumbh Head
Taking moral responsibility of the stampede in Allahabad railway station in which atleast 36 people were killed, Cabinet Minister Mohammad Azam Khan today resigned as the in-charge of Kumbh Mela.

"Though the incident took place outside the Kumbh Mela premises, I take moral responsibility and resign as the in-charge of the Kumbh. I am sending my resignation to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav", Khan told reporters here.

Khan said he was very upset due to the tragic incident as he had tried hard to make best arrangements for the Kumbh.

 #1 - The Congress govt at Center which controls the Railways is responsible for this tragic  incident.

Why didn't their Railway Ministry which loves hiking fares manage crowd in the Railway station better? It is not as if it was, to use Chidambaram's term 'a flash crowd'.
