Senior forest officer B K Singh, found in possession of unaccounted assets running into several crores, has been suspended by the Madhya Pradesh government.
Singh was suspended yesterday, official sources said.
A raid was conducted at his houses two days ago by Lokayukta Police, which unearthed documents showing he possessed assets worth about Rs 100 crore, which were beyond his known sources of income.
The Chief Conservator of Forests, Ujjain Circle, was transferred to the post of Executive Director, Madhya Pradesh Rajya Laghu Vanopaj Sangh, Bhopal, after the raid on Wednesday before being put under suspension yesterday, they said.
