A Madhya Pradesh Congress leader today filed a complaint in a local court demanding ban on the ongoing shoot of K C Bokadia's Dirty Politics alleging that the film is a "conspiracy" to malign his party's image ahead of upcoming Assembly polls in Rajasthan.

In his private complaint, state unit Congress spokesperson Narendra Saluja alleged that the portrayal of Bhanwari Devi case in 'Dirty Politics' tantamount to spreading bias against Congress facing Assembly elections in Rajasthan.

He filed the complaint under sections 500 (defamation), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 120B (punishment of criminal conspiracy) of Indian Penal Code in the court of First Class Judicial Magistrate O P Vohra.

The court has posted the matter for hearing on February 19.

In his complaint Saluja alleged that by allowing the making of the film, reportedly based on the sleaze and murder involving Rajasthan nurse Bhanwari Devi and state politicians, would reflect poorly on Congress party during polls.

"Making of the film based on the criminal case which is pending before Jodhpur court is the breach of law and insult to judiciary", Saluja told reporters after filing the complaint.

He alleged that the film's producer has links with BJP leaders in Madhya Pradesh and wanted to "create a controversy against Congress party".

"Murder of a woman cannot be a filmy topic", Saluja said seeking ban on the shoot of the film in Indore.

Being directed by Bokadia, 'Dirty Politics' stars actress Mallika Sherawat in the lead role besides Om Puri, Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher and Ashutosh Rana.
