Tension broke out today in Jahazpur town in the district when a portion of a religious place belonging to a community was found slightly damaged, police said.
Members of the community assembled to demand that those involved in the act be immediately arrested.
However, no untoward incident occurred and the situation is peaceful.
Senior administration and police officials have reached the spot and the situation is under control. Efforts are being made to identify the accused, they added.
