Reservation a Violation of Rights of the Deserving: Varun
Bharatiya Janata Party MP Varun Gandhi today said reservation in jobs for SC/STs should be done away with as it is against the interests of general public and in violation of the rights of the deserving.

"I was the only MP to raise voice against reservations," claimed Gandhi during a function at Hindu College here, adding that there should be no compromise on the level of efficiency particularly in crucial jobs like in the health sector.

Commenting on the functioning of current crop of MPs, Gandhi said most of them neglected their constituencies whereas in advanced countries, representatives of the people made every effort to be in constant touch with the electorate.

The Pilibhit MP said giving maximum time to his constituency was one of his top priorities in order to address the grievances of the people.

On the recent violation of ceasefire along the LoC in J&K in which an Indian soldier was beheaded and another shot dead by Pakistan troops, Gandhi said the issue would have found greater prominence in any other country.

Talking about the youth, Gandhi said that they should come forward to contribute to society since they were not only the future but also the present of the country.

The ill-bred castiest fascist has spoken again. Now for the upper caste votes. The problem is that that the hindu oppressor caste and the oppressed caste fight for resources and the religious majority gets almost everything while the minorities are left with very little opportunities, then the govt comes up with reservations for minorities which are of little help and more propagandistic.

Still this oppresser caste (misnamed as upper caste) hegemony should end.

Let me correct my post as someone has pointed ut the mistake.

But he (Varun)  has qualified to be prosecuted for attacking constitutional provision aimed at safeguarding  the intersts of the millions of dalits and tribals."

May be the MP, Pilibhit  will pay the price in next election. The voters of dalit and tribal communities will take it seriously.

Yes if one were to look at what Varun has said in realistic way,he has a point.

But what  does he have to say about the way BC/SC/ST were denied right to education by the so called (Progressive) the Upper Caste from time e memorial.

The reason why the whole concept was brought about by Dr Ambedhkar,People who have become stable(well to do) but belong to these section should forefeit there rights to reservation automatically.

As long as discrimmination continues on basis of Caste, the concept of reservation must continue.

When Varun made that famous hate speech in Philibit he backed out after being charged,Now if he were to be tried under defamation for having called people who get reservations as not deserving he will do the same(back out).

First one must address the issues before giving sermons,India isnt a Utopian society as yet,Hang on.

Good idea Varun. If you are serious about it, convince BJP to put it in their manifesto and fight the next election campaigning on this issue.
