Mumbai: Cop Booked for Alleged Rape, Unnatural Sex
A 32-year-old Sub-Inspector has been booked for allegedly raping and having unnatural sex with a 22-year-old woman, the police said today.

However, the cop who refused to marry the girl after having consensual sex with her for a few months, according to RCF police station officials, has not yet been arrested.

An FIR was registered yesterday under Section 377 (outraging the modesty of a women), Section 376 (rape) and Section 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), after the victim complained against Sachin Dabolkar, who is on probation at the Chembur police station since June 2012.

The police are awaiting medical reports and call records of the victim and the police officer to take further action.

According to the police, Dabolkar met the victim who is a sales girl on June 14 last year, when she went to the Chembur police station to lodge a complaint after she lost her mobile phone.

Dabolkar, who was the investigating officer, managed to recover her lost phone.

In her FIR, the victim alleged that Dabolkar allegedly raped her at least on seven occasions between July 1 and July 31 on the pretext of marrying her, but later refused to do so.

The alleged rapes were committed at the residences of the victim as well as the accused, the police said.
