BJP Celebrates Rajnath's Election As Party Chief

BJP workers across Uttarakhand today celebrated Rajnath Singh's unanimous election as the party's national president.

Soon after the news of Singh's election to the post came, BJP workers at the party office here burst crackers and distributed sweets to celebrate the occasion.

Similar celebrations at BJP offices were reported from all the 13 districts of the state where party workers expressed confidence that under Singh's leadership the party was bound to come to power at the Centre in 2014.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir unit of BJP held a function at party headquarters at Jammu to celebrate Singh's elevation as party chief.

The vast experience of Singh will guide the party to victory in 2014 Lok Sabha polls, former BJP state president Shamsher Singh Manhas said.

Meanwhile, BJP workers across Ghaziabad, the Lok Sabha constituency of Rajnath Singh, celebrated his unanimous election as the party's national president.

As soon as the announcement to this effect was made, party members distributed sweets and burst crackers to celebrate the occasion.

"It is BJP's new year gift to Ghaziabad, we all are confident that the party will register a win in 2014 Lok Sabha elections under his leadership," party's district president Arvind Bharti said.

Meanwhile, former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister P K Dhumal congratulated Rajnath Singh on his unanimous election as national president of BJP.

In his message, Dhumal said Singh being an experienced and refined leader will take the party to new heights.

He expressed faith that able leadership and wide experience of Singh will help in bringing people of all communities into party fold and strengthen the nationalist forces.
