A senior CPI(M) leader today sought to ridicule West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's comments on the Prime Minister saying that she should 'take care of her health'.
"I don't believe that the chief minister made such utterances and that too at a public meeting. I think she is overworked and not keeping well. Hard work under pressure tells on one's health," senior
CPI(M) leader, Surjyakanta Mishra, who is the Leader of the Opposition, told reporters here.
"Addressing a public meeting for two to three hours makes one exhausted as in the case of the chief minister and I suggest she takes care of her health in the interest of herself, the people and the state. She does the work of all departments and this is not the way to run a government," Mishra said.
He said "I have noted substantial differences between what she said yesterday (against the prime minister) and what she said today."
Mishra said that he also noted the chief minister was not apologetic about her statement and instead blamed the media for 'distortion'.
