Asaduddin Owaisi's Bail Petition Rejected in 2005 Case
A local court here today dismissed the bail petition of MIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi in connection with a 2005 case against him for allegedly obstructing the then Collector and other officials from discharging their duties.

Asaduddin, who was yesterday sent to judicial remand till February 2 in the case by the Judicial First Class Magistrate and Prohibition and Excise Special Court in Sangareddy town, had filed a bail application.

After hearing the arguments and counter-arguments from the defence and prosecution, the court in Sangareddy town of Medak district dismissed Asaduddin's bail plea, a senior police officer said.

Asaduddin had yesterday filed a 'recall petition' in the court seeking cancellation of a non-bailable warrant. However, the court had dismissed his petition and remanded him in judicial custody till February 2.

The case was registered on a complaint by a revenue official that Asaduddin, his younger brother and party MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi and others protested demolition of a place of worship at Muttangi village near Patancheru during a road widening work of Hyderabad-Mumbai National Highway.

They had allegedly engaged in heated arguments with the then District Collector A K Singhal and other officers and while demonstrating the Owaisi brothers had allegedly pushed the Collector.

Opposing the bail petition of Asaduddin, the prosecution said 15 notices were issued to the accused seeking his appearance before the court in connection with the case.

However, he "violated" the conditions of bail, the counsel said.

Asaduddin and his brother and MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi, who were booked in the case along with others, had appeared before the court in 2009 and had got bail, but they "failed" to appear before that subsequently.

Asaduddin's counsel submitted before the court that a meeting of the party is convened on January 24 under his chairmanship and hence Asaduddin be granted conditional bail.

After hearing the arguments, magistrate K Maruti Devi dismissed the bail petition of Asaduddin.

Later, Asaduddin's counsel said that after getting the judgement copy on the bail orders, they may consider filing a fresh bail petition on January 24.

Asaduddin is presently lodged in Medak district jail at Kandi village, 6 km from Sangareddy town.

Owaisis think that they can take  India back to Nizam's time.  Spewing venom on the majority, these brothers could do anything with  the help of Congress in Andhra. Congress is a real communal party which survives on Hindu Muslim divide. I thing we all must come together and show the door for this inept buch of lunatic thugs.
