Police today registered a case against a youth of village Bishangarh, close to Ambala city, on charge of eve teasing, while in another incident, a youth sustained injuries when he tried to stop eve-teasers from misbehaving with a girl.

The girl, a student of a degree college, Ambala City filed a complaint with the Naggal police in which she said that a youth of Bishangarh village teased her by making obscene gestures while she was on her way to college.

The police is investigating the matter. The youth was not nabbed so far, police said.

In a separate incident, a youth was stabbed when he attempted to prevent two youths from eve teasing a girl in a local bus today.

The incident occurred in a bus which was coming from Neonolla side. When a youth Sultan stopped two youths from eve teasing the girl, they stabbed him.

He received injuries on his hand and was rushed to civil hospital at Ambala City. The police is probing the matter.

Meanwhile, a teacher of Kurukshetra University has been placed under suspension on charges of molesting girl students.

According to the university sources, some students have complained to the university authorities about conduct of the teacher during painting and drawing classes.

Following the complaints, an inquiry was ordered and the committee responsible for checking sexual harassment in the university found the teacher guilty.

On recommendation of the committee, the university authorities suspended the teacher last evening.
