Aarushi Murder: '2 Golf Clubs Had Negligible Dust'

A special CBI court in Ghaziabad was today told that the two golf clubs, purportedly used in the murders of teenage girl Aarushi and domestic aid Hemraj, had negligible dirt in their cavities.

Deposing as a prosecution witness, Deepak Kumar Tanwar, scientist at Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) told the court that the probing agency had sent set of a dozen clubs to the laboratory and out of them three were covered at their head.

"We had taken photographs of the clubs," Tanwar told the CBI court.

A senior CFSL scientist, Rajendra Singh, also deposed before the court today. Singh told the court that his team, on November 8, 2010, had enacted a "dummy" murder scene at the spot of the murder.

"In the recreation of events, a police constable was wrapped in a bed-sheet soaked in red colour. He was pulled from the corridor upto the roof, and at the roof also he was dragged for about 25-30 feet," the scientist said.

The spots made during this recreation of events were similar to the original ones, he said.

"We had given this report to the CBI," Singh said in the court.

After that, defence appealed for cross examination of the witnesses, however, the court fixed the matter for further hearing.
