Five Killed in Gujarat Road Accident
Five persons were killed and one other injured when their car collided with a dumper in Surendranagar district early today.

The car was moving near Valevada village in Patdi taluka of Surendranagar when it collided with a dumper on Dasada-Becharaji road at 12.30 am, killing five persons. police said.

The five deceased were identified as - Jayanti Patel (68), Mahadev Patel (48), Hargovind Patel (40), residents of Goriavad village in Patdi taluka while Raman Trikam (58) and Chandrakant Patel (30) belonged to Bhedasan village of Mandal taluka in Ahmedabad district, police said.

The injured person has been admitted to Mehsana Civil Hospital, police said, adding that his condition is stable.

The driver of the dumper fled from the spot.

Dasada police have launched a probe in the accident.
