Kejriwal Detained During Protest Outside Delhi CM's House
AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal and scores of people were detained from outside Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's residence today during their protest against demolition of buildings in a south Delhi locality.

Over 100 people had gathered outside Dikshit's 3-Motilal Nehru Marg residence at 7 am while Kejriwal joined them an hour later to protest demolition of their houses in Shaheenbagh near Okhla and demanded an audience with her.

The protesters continued their demonstration outside the Chief Minister's residence but police detained them around 12:30 pm as they refused to leave the place.

Kejriwal and other AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Kumar Vishwas were among others who were detained, a senior police official said.

A large number of police personnel were deployed at the spot to avoid any untoward incident. Police barricaded one side of road from Janpath side which has the entry gate to Dikshit's residence.

Protesters shouted slogans against the government action.

"The land where these people are living is there land, they have documents of it. But it's unauthorised because you have to get the map passed by the government," Kejriwal said.

"But on October 4, 2010 Sonia Gandhi had announced that 1600 colonies will be regularised, this colony is also one of them. But despite that 500 houses were demolished," he said.

He alleged showrooms nearby were not razed.

"We were asking for Dikshit's time which was not given. We are not here for a clash with the government but a sit in protest," he said.

Kejriwal alleged that it seems that this is part of a "huge land grab scandal" to give land to "some builder".

"This is so scary. These people have valid papers of their houses. Still razed? For her greed, would she demolish just about any house in Delhi," he said.

Later, the protesters, including Kejriwal, were released.

Kejriwal and some others then went to Lt Governor Tejinder Khanna's residence and met his OSD Ranjan Bhattacharya.

After the meeting, Kejriwal claimed that it seems the homes were razed by mistake because there are three unauthorised fake colonies in the area which were to be demolished.

"If it is a mistake, then there needs to be not just punishment but it needs to be looked at properly and action needs to be taken because 500 homes can't be razed by mistake. I hold Sheila Dikshit responsible for it. It seems a case of land grab," he alleged.

IF Kejriwal, or any other protestor in similar circumstances were a FEMALE, the court would have convicted the man-handlers, and the media ( and its anti-male commentors )  would have jumped with joy.

Corrupt politicians and corrupt government officials: "Hope you are not leading India to the same boat what is being agitated by the people of Egypt, Syria - these are truly the results caused by corruptions and dictatorial behaviors against their people and yet you are not paying heed and listening. I thought India was a democratic nation."

Great personality Sri Arvind Kejriwal was put in jail with other citizens who had come to protest for the demolition of their houses. This is a total insanity on the part of very corrupt immoral government who are out there to steal people's land for profiteering
Scheming.

In today’s India democratic nation, the government is out there disturbing natives; breaking their houses of residence; displacing children and families out in the cold winter of Delhi.

These are the most outrageous methods to treat citizens robbing them of their houses where they lived until now and the consequences of government’s terrible methods have put them on the streets in the absence of their residence.

Let us see if some one breaks the houses of all these corrupt leaders, what the
corrupt politicians will say? How their children will feel? Are these truly the methods to run democratic nation? Are these not the methods of unwanted ‘dictatorial nature’ forcing citizens to be displaced? Remember, a nation is made by the people, of the people and for the people and any corrupt government official or minister does not understand this point clearly, they are creating lot of disturbance against the very norm and principles of the democratic India.

Remember, if India’s corrupt institutions and their leaders do not behave democratically with respect and dignity to their citizens, their time is well running out fast just like dictators of Syria, Egypt, Libya and other countries. Corrupt officials and ministers might feel they are safe, but the facts are time is the very reason not sparing any such methods and they must face now their consequences for treating citizens with such impartial, prejudicial manners bringing trauma and terrible pain by displacing them from their very own habitats.

Breaking someone’s properties and choosing others as legal by DDA are enough for people to decide the fate of corrupt officials and ministers and they must never forget this very profound sentence that PEOPLE ARE RESILIENT BY FORCE NOT BY CHOICE.

One more point, the corrupt Ministers and corrupt government officials must never forget that that according to Geneva convention, these are not acceptable methods and naturally these methods can bring corrupt leaders to answer in the UNO for stealing people's properties and putting them systematically on the street for profiteering scheming.
