Jailed Pak Terrorist Seeks Book To Be Brought to Ghaziabad

Jailed Pakistani terrorist Abdul Matin, accused in the 1996 Modi Nagar bomb blast case in Uttar Pradesh, today filed a petition before a local court here appealing that the book he had written on Indo-Pak relations in a Rajasthan jail be sent to him in Dasna here.

Matin, a Harkat-ul-Ansar operative from Pakistan who was arrested in 1997 in Jammu and Kashmir, filed the petition before the court of additional district and session judge Mangal Prasad.

He was lodged in Bikaner jail till 2008 and was shifted to Dasna jail here in 2008 in connection with the trial in the Modi Nagar bomb blast case in which 16 people were killed and over 20 injured.

The court fixed November 27 as the next date of hearing.
