Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President G Parameshwar today urged party leaders to bury their differences and work towards bringing the party back to power in next Assembly elections.
"We should bury our differences and work towards bringing the party back to power," he told reporters on the sidelines of birth anniversary celebrations of late Prime Minsiter Jawaharlal Nehru at KPCC office here.
Parameshwar said there was no option left for Congress, but to bounce back and oust BJP in next Assembly elections. "The people of the state are agonised by BJP misrule."
Parameshwar said the the country's economy was on a strong wicket despite economic slowdown, thanks to Nehru's foresight and leadership qualities.
In most countries Five Year Plans had failed, but it had clicked in India
benefitting crores of people, Parameshwar said.
Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader M V Rajasekharan said even global leaders drew inspiration from Pandit Nehru's works.
