Kashmiri Pandits today advocated carving out a "homeland" with Union Territory status for them from Jammu and Kashmir.
"We strongly advocate carving out of the homeland with union territory status in Kashmir Valley for over 3 lakh displaced KPs--we want to return to homeland in the Valley", Chairman of Panun Kashmir, Dr Ajay Chrungoo told reporters here today.
Wearing Panun Kashmir caps and badges, Panun Kashmir held protest sit-in at Press club where they paid floral tributes to martyrs of the community particularly Tika Lal Taploo.
"Our fight will continue for homeland. We will not stop till the goal in not achieved", Dr Chrungoo said.
The Joint Forum of KP Organisations- All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC), Panun Kashmir, Non Camp Migrant Coordination Committee (NMMCC) observed the Kashmiri Pandit Balidan Divas today and organised a protest demonstration outside the Raj Bhawan in Jammu city.
