'Our Policy Could Have Fetched Revenue in Coal Blocks'
The ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh today claimed that had the Centre implemented the "transparent policy of the state government", it could have earned an additional revenue of Rs 13 lakh crore in coal allocation, where a loss of Rs 1.86 lakh crore was incurred.

A resolution claiming Rs 13 lakh crore revenue loss (as assessed by BJP) in the coal scam and demanding resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was passed on the completion of two-day state executive meeting here today.

"The Madhya Pradesh government has allocated six coal blocks through auctioning with a condition that profit would be distributed between the state and the company in the ratio of 51:49," state BJP president Prabhat Jha told reporters.

"If the transparent policy adopted by the Madhya Pradesh government had been implemented by the Centre as also stated by the BJP MP from Maharashtra, Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, then the government could have earn a revenue of Rs 13 lakh crore," Jha claimed.

"This is the biggest scam in the history of India and therefore, Prime Minister should immediately resign from his post," the BJP demanded.

The resolution on scams which included 2G, CWG, Adarsh and Delhi Airport was drafted by BJP MP from Jabalpur, Rakesh Singh.

The executive also demanded from the Centre to frame a new fertiliser policy for the farmers, Jha said.

Also, in order to win the Assembly seats lost by the party in the 2008 elections, Jha said will take out a yatra on each of those seats, beginning from Raghogarh, the hometown of Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh.

On the issue of agitation against inadequate compensation at Khardana in Harda district by the villagers affected with the dam project, Jha, without naming NBA said some forces in the state are not interested in the state's development and are posing hurdles in developing irrigation potential and power production.
