Will Contest Prez Poll if BJP Backs Pranab: Jethmalani
BJP MP and eminent lawyer Ram Jethmalani today said he would enter the the Presidential election fray if his party went for a consensus on UPA candidate Pranab Mukherjee.

Jethmalani, who is away in Detroit on a holiday, told reporters over phone that NDA should not go for a consensus on Mukherjee.

"Mukherjee is a friend. I have great appreciation for some of his qualities but have a serious grievance against him that he has concealed the names that Germans and French have given him for those people who are hoarding the nation's wealth outside. Yet he has not done anything," Jethmalani said.

He insisted that for him Rashtrapati Bhawan is not an atttraction and he would like to continue with his legal practice.

"My job is to educate people. Let us see what is the decision of the party," Jethmalani said.

BJP sources said Jethmalani's name was not discussed at today's meeting. The party has indicated it is keen on a contest and hence Jethmalani's threat may not have much signifance.

NDA is holding a meeting tomorrow where a final view on the issue is expected to be taken.

have a serious grievance against him that he has concealed the names that Germans and French have given him for those people who are hoarding the nation's wealth outside.

Those who do not like Ram Jethmalani on this issue should try and answer the question he raises - why did Pranab suppressing and subverting law on Black money? How he saved his Master's billions move out of one safe havens to other countries of the world? Signed phoney useless treaties which will never reveal the names and account details before 2010 by when our ministers and UPA members were making some serious foriegn trips for health reasons, public interest, and diplomatic purposes.

For those yearning for giving Pranab a happy retirement, I advise them to create a good retirement account in one of those countries which he made inaccessible.

Jethmalani - Your behaviour is despicable.  You have no ethics.  Every client you take, the first question you ask him/her is:how much black money you will get!  And you are talking about black money!  Like father, like Son!

Just to get media attention, you create these dramas!

What are you Jethmalai?  An unethical, unashamed, liar Barrister!

NDA is conceeding defeat even before the fight is on. Ther is not sign of any enthusiasm at the top leadership. Seems the national leaders are sinking the ship for fear of Modi taking over the control. If NDA does not set its house in order history will not spare them.It is time they tighten their belts and get into the game. Defeat does not matter, what matters is sportive spirit.unexpectedly Mamatha joined thier bandwagon. There is nothing to loose by fielding Kalam as opposition candidate. If at all it will be Kalam who will loose. NDA will be successful at least in weaning away Mamatha from UPA, albeit temporarily.
