A three-day Hungarian Film Festival is being held here screening six films from the country.
The festival was inaugurated at the Marwah Studios here on Friday in collaboration with the Hungarian International Cultural Centre.
White Palms, an acclaimed Hungarian film, opened the festival.
The Asian School of Communication, University of Central Lancashire, UK and Asian School of Media Studies have jointly organised this festival.
Tibor Kovacs, Director, Hungarian International Culture Centre, briefed the audience about the background of the film industry of Hungary.
He also mentioned that a mix of classic and modern movies have been chosen for this festival to give a perspective of the culture.
"I feel Hungarians have a closer link to Indian culture than the European culture, since Indians in Hungary feel very comfortable there," said Tibor
