India Raises Concerns Over Chinese Presence in PoK
Concerned over the Chinese troop presence in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, India has taken up the issue with the top leadership here.

The matter was raised by visiting External Affairs Minister S M Krishna during his talks with the Chinese leaders yesterday.

Krishna, who met four Chinese leaders including Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, said India's concerns in this regard were conveyed during the talks.

"On the issue of Chinese presence in PoK, Pakistan is in illegal occupation of certain areas of Jammu and Kashmir," Krishna told a media briefing here after his talks with Chinese leaders.

"This has been brought to the attention of the Chinese leadership repeatedly and there it stands," he said.

Recently, army chief Gen V K Singh had said in New Delhi that around 4,000 Chinese, including the troops of the People's Liberation Army, were in PoK.

Krishna, who inaugurated a new USD 10 million Indian embassy building here yesterday, held talks with Zhou Yongkong, a senior member of the politburo standing committee of the ruling Communist Party of China.

Besides, Krishna had a luncheon meeting with Yang, followed by talks with Wang Jiarui, a senior official of the International Department of the CPC; and top Chinese diplomat and State Counsellor Dai Bingguo.

India Raises Concerns Over Chinese Presence in PoK
PTI | K J M Varma | Beijing | Feb 09, 2012

INDIA  merely raising concerns with China on the presence of PLA troops in the POK. Is this a substantive initiative on  India's part  in the context of a series of diplomatic crises created by the Red Dragon on  legitimate visits by India's dignitaries including the PM ,the Lt Generals, Dalai Lama to visit  parts of Indian States like J&K, Arunachal Pradesh , parts of North-east etc.

India should  have lodged a strong protest with China as part of tit-for-tat diplomacy. This is not the time for soft-pedalling the issues. This has lowered India's image in the comity of Nations. Are we afraid of China? At least,so it seemed ,when Manmohan Singh took pains to assure the countrymen that China will not attack India.Several career diplomats of MEA  confide in private how they are feeling   utterly frustrated in such  uncertain times. The NSA to PM  ( Of Sharm-el-Sheikh fiasco fame ),who was quite vocal and visible initially on TV Channels, has disappeared. God knows who administers India's foreign policy. Some insiders believe,it has been hijacked by the PMO. Is the country safe in the hands of the present Congress-led UPA government? The PM must address these issues and prepare himself for the impending Parliament session.

May Allah save my country from such ignominy !!! AMEN.
