People in Jammu and Kashmir need a healing touch and money and concessions will not suffice if their main concerns are not addressed, spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has said.
In a letter to Dileep Padgaonkar, one of the interlocutors for Kashmir peace initiative, Ravi Shankar said there was a need to put balm on the "ruptured Kashmiri psyche".
"The Kashmiri common man needs a healing touch. Money and concessions will not suffice if the main concerns of the Kashmiri people are not addressed. They need to be heard and their dignity upheld," he said in his letter.
He said, any step taken in Kashmir will have repercussions in the entire country.
"The interlocutors appointed by the Centre have a very difficult task. I wish them success," the founder of the Art of Living International Centre said.
