Maa Ni Mildi, the first coloured Dogri movie has been released in Jammu today.
It is the second Dogri movie to hit theatres after a gap of three decades as the first movie in the language
Gala Hoyian Beetiyan was released way back in the year 1980.
The movie was released at a function at Apsara theatre by Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla appealed to the people to visit the theatre and see the movie with their families so that youngsters get fully aware with traditions, culture and heritage of the region.
"People should speak mother language Dogri in their homes", he said.
The film starring local artists has been directed by Roop Sagar, who was a close associate of renowned director Hrishikesh Mukerjee.
The music in the film has been composed by Devinder Rathore and songs have been sung by famous singers Vinod Rathore and Sadhna Sargam.
