Burdwan (WB), Aug 18 (PTI) Around 35 people were injured when CPI(M) and Trinamool Congress activists clashed at Badgacha area in West Bengal's Burdwan district today, police sources said.
The TC was supposed to hold a meeting in the area where those who had quit the CPI(M) were supposed to join the TC. To stop the meeting the CPI(M) activists attacked the TC party office at Badgacha, TC sources claimed.
Police sources said around 35 people including former CPI(M) MLA Sayampada Pal was injured in the clash.
Many of the injured have been admitted to Burdwan Medical College Hospital and in the local primary health centre, sources added.
