He is a criminal pending murder case, his 3 generations spewed venom against other communities and his grandfather fought for Rajakars to get Hyderabad state a part of Pakistan…………..its congress that gave legitimacy for a party which derives its strength not only from communalising but being a fifth columnist in the country !  MIM has worst record of communal violence and recently they created the Charminar temple row for divorcing Congress  indicating ready to sleep with Jan’s party ……………Its shocking the so called secular media crooks have not responded with their equally harmful venomous pen ! to me they are part & parcel of   such ideology of spreading hate

Modi keeps secular media full time busy. Beside with Anna/Kejriwal/Bollywood they can barely find time for women's plight let alone Owaisi.

What happened to all the secularists? Lost your tongues (err... fingers to type)? This is very typical - you people are so invested in your prejudices that you don't have even an iota of objectivity left in you. Let me guess how the secular crowd is going to react - they will come out with some mild statements about Owaisi, preceded and followed by a drumbeat of hate-speech against all BJP/RSS types. You will even blame the latter for inciting the former to "vent his feelings" in his speech. So, go ahead.. take out your pens/laptops.... and start writing away your wild rationalizations and cock-a-mammie stories...., after all, it is your cottage industry.

Iam very curious to know what he did actually say - have seen many reports that he made "alleged hate speech" targeting a "particular community" and that law will take its own course , now that 10 days after the "alleged speech" court is directing the cops to file a case..

Owaisi's hate speech must not go unpunished. His hate speech deserves at least twice as much punishment as the hate speeches of Togadia, Varun Gandhi and Subramanian Swamy.

All hate groups such as MIM, VHP, RSS, Bajrang Dal, Muslim League and others must be banned.

More importantly, as I said before, Indian Muslim leadership should be seeking inter-community dialogues and work towards better integration of the Muslim community with the larger community. The fact that Owaisi mentality can exist in this day and age is a matter of shame as well as concern.

 Reply to 11/D-3 ANWAR,DALLAS,

You have rightly said that Owaisi's hate speech must not go unpunished. Further, you have said that all hate groups must be banned. I agree with you. Obviously, Owaisi will be given maximum punishment by Judiciary, which is found to be more upright while dealing with Muslim culprits.

We always fail to mention the starting point of all these hate speeches and crimes. If we really want a permanent solution to problems arising from communalism, we must adopt a holistic approach to wipe out communal / racist elements which weaken our secular democratic fabric.Unfortunately, our present leadership seems to be always soft towards communal terrorism. In fact, communal terrorism has gained legitimacy in India with the help of democracy. That is how they are ruling many Indian states and their leaders are called former prime minister, former vice prime minister,  cheif ministers etc. That is why many of hindutva hatemongers roam freely and their literatures and books such as "Bunch of thoughts and We or our nationhood defined" which demand RSS volunteers to wipe out Islam, Christianity and Communism from India, remain allowed.

In this context, when we hear Owaisi's speach, being a Muslim leader and his community is subject to many injustice and subsequent unfair treatment from concerned authorities like RSS' bomb attack on Mecca Musjid and subsequent killing and nabbing of innocent Muslims, if Owaisi is successful in presenting all these facts before the court and the judge is upright, Owaisi will definitely get away. He doesn't have to speak about all other atrocities like Babari masjid demolition, Guajarat genocide, thousands of riots engineered by RSS etc. I have the feeling that he has not hurt any Hindu but attacked Hindutva terrorists. If RSS's didnot use Arya King Ram to trample over Muslims, Owaisi would not have spoken about Ram and his mother.

Ban all hate groups and their affiliates.

You should have verified whether your feelings were justified. He made derogatory remarks about Ajanta Ellora, worshipping many gods, people who cremate being less patriotic than those who bury etc. Because Togadia is roaming free does not mean that Owaisi is beyond reproach.

I was very disturbed at his promising protection to those indulging in violence. There is no ambiguity there. It should be explored if he can be disqualified as MLA.

Hindutva or Islamist ideologies are best attacked not by each other but by informed enlightened outlook claiming popular imagination.

You have a point. Hindutva forces have been as provocative as the post-Razakar elements in Hyderabad. Instead of trying to determine who started it all, it would be best if both Hindu and Muslim leaders do their best to rein in the radical elements in their communities.

Outwardly Owasi's MIM and Congress have broken relations as partners in power in AP .Both quote and gloat over it. But both Congress and Owasi's MIM are running together as partners the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

And whenever Congress Sarkar is in danger MIM has been bailing it out and will bail out in future too .

Communal groups like Congress and MIM ::

So apoligists of jihadist are busy scratching each other's back. This is amusing to see these pseudo seculars try to justify the hate speech of a Islamist. Their justification can be applied to any hate speech of someone like Varun Gandhi. But when it comes to Varun Gandhi, you expect the condemnation without ifs and buts. But they cannot denounce the hate speech of likes Owaisi without bringing Hindutvadis. What a bunch of hypocrites !

Actually that is what you guys do here all day long.

>> see these pseudo seculars try to justify the hate speech of a Islamist.

No hate speech is justified, but you do not want anyone to mention the Hindutva aggressive posture in Hyderabad, what with the bombing of Mecca Masjid, intrusion into Char Minar,  long imprisonment of so many innocent Muslims after the bombing of Mecca Masjid, hate speeches of Praveen Togadia threatening the Muslims of Hyderabad etc. Qwaisi has been condemned but you want these anti-Muslim activities to go unmentioned!

>> they cannot denounce the hate speech of likes Owaisi without bringing Hindutvadis.

You want only the one to be mentioned, not the other! So who is the hypocrite?

Jyoti Punwani blogs, "akbar owaisi's speech makes one see red. but the speeches of togadia,
sadhvi rithambara and thackeray have been equally bad. thackeray
never got prosecuted; one case against togadia is pending, but he
carries on regardless. raj thackeray is no less.
the law shld treat all these equally." - With Indians like her, we can be proud.

Idiot.

You are the one who constantly whines like a stuck pig when anyone talks of 84 in an article on Gujarat.

And here, you are not just talking about "Hindutva terror". You are using it as a justification.

An editorial in the Hindu gets it right: "In his rant, Mr. Owaisi used a clever trick: he first attacked the Hindutva outfits and leaders for their actions, and then proceeded to equate all Hindus with these extremist elements. This was akin to the Hindutva extremist line of holding the whole Muslim community responsible for Islamist terror."

The editorial goes on to say that the threat of physical violence implicit in Owaisi's speech attracts Section 153-A of the Indian Penal Code. "Civil society needs to make it clear that those who incite hatred and violence against people on the basis of their religion or any other identity ought to be punished one way or another. If the police or courts won’t prosecute, convict and send them to jail, such would-be ‘leaders’ must be boycotted socially and politically."

There is no need for debate on this,Owaisi spoke in a derogatory way about Hindu Gods and must be jailed,so to Togadia.

Nobody is above law,pl accept that in principle, leave the rest to the Courts
