Let me just put it this way - MoD has (1) filed a IA in SC against the SC orders to pay arrears or rank pay due from 1.1.1986;  (2) disputed the disability pensions of a Lt Gen as well as some others; (3) Denies Non- Functional pay increase to defence officers stating that it is only for Central Services (read IFS/IAS/IPS) but equates the various ranks of the Armed Forces as equivalnet to its own designations etc.
