A number of retired officers, incuding former chiefs, have been expressing their views - and anguish - on TV in the last few days, finding it increasingly difficult to stand by what the incumbent is doing to the institution of the office he holds. Perhaps they could share their collective wisdom with him in private and suggest to him what would now be the only honorable thing to do.

Why are all of Gen. Singh's actions in the public domain? Is he a publicity hound? Can't he communicate with the PM and the Defence Minister confidentially? What kind of an effect all these controversies will have on our armed forces.

Asked if Gen Singh should have written to Defence Minister A K Antony instead of the Prime Minister on the issue, Ravi said, "That is the maryada. But I am saying... whatever he does is action of a frustrated individual."

He had written similar letter to Anthony and Defense Secretary .Nothing happened .No reply. That is your Maryada dear !

Now he has written directly to PM braking the protocol .

So what should Chief had done ? Retired leaving Army in serious shortages of ammunition ,critical items etc when for the last six months nothing moved at the Govt level ?

Important is what he wrote not the system which is too slow. And what Singh wrote as we are informed on TV is extremely serious and is wake up call for the Govt.

It is fact that Babus after Bofor are more interested to save their skin and want to to carry on the transparency to the utmost limit .This may save their skin but Nation suffers as Wars don't come in a planned manner. Kargil situation deteriorated within a week and War was a reality if USA and West had not prevailed upon Pakistan to see through its stupidity .

Thelka Congress paid exercise against NDA and Bofors scam have become the greatest liabilty and real hurdles for the Defence procurements and jeopardized the National Security.Babus simply are not ready to move the files an inch ahead .

Now who leaked the Letter ?? If we blame General then who leaked the CAG draft Report to Times of India ??

Why not Govt thoroughly sanitizes its Departments ? PMO itself needs urgent sanitation job as this is not the first or second leak rather many leaks did happen in the past  .

The leak is unfortunate as it helps Enemy as DM said but since the leak has happened it isall the more urgent that the deficiencies are met on SOS basis.

Forget Thelaka and CAG for time being.

He did do that. He reported about the bribe to the DM, and wrote a letter to the PM.

Stupidity has fried your brain.

If I were to take a guess, it would be less than the lack of ammunition.

What does your Madrassa training tell you?

Keep up your fight Congress. Don't let the whistleblower get away. Hit him where it hurts. Good to know you maintain your maryada - polite silence over complaints.
